What is Model 9 or Mk9? We have chosen to call the Powerlink cable from Neomesteren this, as it is an alternative to Mk 1, Mk 2, or Mk 3. The name Mk 9 was simply chosen to avoid confusion - it has no further significance.

Why do we do this? At Neo Shop, we sell Mk 1, Mk 2, Mk 3, and Mk 9 Powerlink cables.

Powerlink cables are relatively expensive to purchase because the complexity inside the cable makes it costly to manufacture. Wires generally do not cost much, but shielded wires do, as does braiding them together into a cable - resulting in expensive cables.

Are expensive double-shielded Powerlink cables necessary? In some cases, yes, but in many cases, they are not.

The Mk 9 cable is cheaper than the other models and is therefore an alternative for different setups - you can save a lot of money on cables.

We are not saying that you should always choose Mk 9 Powerlink DIN cables or Mk 2 cables - we are saying that you should choose the cable according to its intended use.
