Converts Wi-Fi to wired internet – perfect for Neo Radio

This compact Wi-Fi adapter is designed to provide a fast and reliable internet connection to Neo Radio, even when a direct cable is impractical.

Neo Radio streams internet radio to B&O products and Neo Radio. The device accesses the internet via cable, which is the most stable solution and ensures streaming without interruptions.

In many homes, however, it can be difficult to run a network cable from the router to the living room where Neo Radio is located. If you have a stable Wi-Fi connection, this can also be used. It just requires connecting a Wi-Fi adapter between the wireless network and Neo Radio.

Neomesteren recommends several solutions – including the small device shown in the picture. It can provide a stable connection, provided the Wi-Fi signal in the house is both stable and sufficiently strong.

Main features:

• Speed and standard: Up to 300 Mbps via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) on 2.4 GHz (and compatible with b/g)

• Multiple operating modes: Can be configured as a Wi-Fi client (connect Wi-Fi to Neo Radio via cable)

• Small and portable: Measures only about 57 × 57 × 18 mm – ideal for home use together with Neo Radio.

• Power via micro-USB: Can be powered via the included adapter or a USB port, e.g., in an extension or on a piece of furniture

• Connection port: Has a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port so Neo Radio can connect via cable

• Security and management: Supports encryption such as WEP, WPA, WPA2 as well as basic firewall and QoS features

How it works with Neo Radio:

• You set the Wi-Fi adapter to client mode, connect it to your wireless network, and run the Ethernet cable from the adapter to Neo Radio.

• This provides stable and reliable streaming without the need for long cables through the home – as long as your Wi-Fi network is stable and strong enough.

How to achieve a stable internet connection for Neo Radio:

1. Wired connection (Ethernet) is the best solution because it minimizes the risk of interruptions and ensures smooth streaming – even with a relatively low speed of around 256 kbit/s

2. Ethernet over Power (Powerline adapter) is a popular alternative when it is difficult to run an ethernet cable through the house. Many use TP-Link adapters for an easy, stable, and affordable (about €40 in Denmark) solution

3. Wi-Fi via an external device can be used as a third priority. Although Neo Radio does not have built-in Wi-Fi, you can connect it via a Wi-Fi adapter — but this requires your wireless network to be robust and stable
