Wireless Internet for Neo Radio
Converts Wi-Fi to wired internet – while also improving the signal to Neo Radio
The device is a compact Wi-Fi repeater with a built-in Ethernet port. It is ideal for giving Neo Radio access to the internet, even when it is not possible to run a cable from the router.
Key features:
-
Wi-Fi speed: Up to 300 Mbps (802.11n) on 2.4 GHz – perfect for stable internet streaming of radio channels.
-
Ethernet port: Allows Neo Radio to be connected directly with a cable.
-
Easy setup: Press the WPS button on the router and repeater for quick pairing or manual setup via an app.
-
Discreet design: Directly into the power outlet – no loose cables or large units.
This is how it works with Neo Radio:
-
The TL-WA850RE connects wirelessly to the house's Wi-Fi.
-
The Ethernet cable runs from the repeater to Neo Radio.
-
The result is a stable streaming connection – provided that the Wi-Fi network in the house is strong and stable.
This compact Wi-Fi adapter is designed to deliver a fast and reliable internet connection to Neo Radio, even when a direct cable is impractical.
Neo Radio streams internet radio to B&O products and Neo Radio. The device accesses the internet via cable, which is the most stable solution and ensures streaming without interruptions.
In many homes, however, it can be difficult to run a network cable from the router to the living room where Neo Radio is located. If you have a stable Wi-Fi connection, this can also be used. It only requires connecting a Wi-Fi adapter between the wireless network and Neo Radio.
Neomesteren recommends several solutions – including the small device shown in the picture. It can provide a stable connection, provided the Wi-Fi signal in the house is both stable and sufficiently strong.
Wi-Fi extender with Ethernet port (300 Mbps)
Give your Neo Radio a stable internet connection – without running network cables through your home. This lightweight and discreet Wi-Fi repeater plugs directly into the socket, extends your wireless signal, and has a built-in Ethernet port. Ideal for streaming!
-
300 Mbps via 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g/n)
-
Ethernet port for direct connection to Neo Radio
-
Smart LED indicator for best placement
-
TP-Link Tether app with Night Mode
-
Very compact and energy efficient (only about 3 W)
How to use it with Neo Radio:
-
Plug the device into the socket where Neo Radio is located.
-
Use the WPS button to wirelessly connect the extender to your Wi-Fi network (or configure via web interface/app).
-
Connect the Ethernet cable from TL-WA850RE to Neo Radio.
-
Get stable and reliable streaming – depending on a strong Wi-Fi signal at home.
How to achieve a stable internet connection for Neo Radio:
-
Wired connection (Ethernet) is the best solution because it minimizes the risk of interruptions and ensures smooth streaming – even with a relatively low speed of around 256 kbit/s
-
Ethernet over Power (Powerline adapter) is a popular alternative when it is difficult to run an ethernet cable through the house. Many use TP-Link adapters for an easy, stable, and affordable (about €40 in Denmark) solution
-
Wi-Fi via an external device can be used as a third priority. Although Neo Radio does not have built-in Wi-Fi, you can connect it via a Wi-Fi adapter — but this requires your wireless network to be robust and stable
