So what is the Model 9 or Mk 9? We chose to call the Power link cable from Neomesteren that, as it’s an alternative to Mk 1, Mk 2, or Mk 3. The name Mk 9 was simply chosen to avoid confusion - it has no other significance.

Why do we do this? At Neo Shop, we sell Mk 1, Mk 2, Mk 3, and Mk 9 Powerlink cables.

Power Link cables are relatively expensive to buy because the complexity inside the cable makes it expensive to manufacture. Wires generally don’t cost much, but shielded wires do, as does braiding them together into a cable - which is why cables end up being expensive.

Are expensive double-shielded power link cables necessary? In some cases, yes, but in many cases, they aren’t.

The Mk 9 cable is cheaper than the other models, making it an alternative for different setups - you can save a lot of money on cables.

We’re not saying you should always choose Mk 9 power link DIN cables or Mk 2 cables - we’re saying you should choose the cable based on how you’ll use it.
